Gems in the Post: My Monthly Art Letter, and Turning TikTok Doodles into Sustainable Clothing

February’s Gem’s In The Post was well received!

Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback on my first envelope of joy!

There’s something very special about creating art slowly.

So much of life now happens on screens, and while I’m incredibly grateful for the internet and the way it connects us, I’ve been longing to create things that exist in the real world. Things you can hold. Things that arrive quietly. Things that feel personal.

That’s why I created Gems in the Post.

Gems in the Post is my monthly art letter — sent from my studio to your door. Each envelope is designed to be a small moment of joy in your month. Something gentle, creative, and thoughtful.

Inside each letter, you’ll receive:

  • An exclusive A5 art print of one of my original drawings, only available through the art club

  • A personal letter from me

  • Journal prompts and creative inspiration

  • Stickers

  • And sometimes a small surprise

The March letter includes my shiny blue rabbit drawing, ‘Baby Jeweliette’, who feels especially close to my heart. I love imagining her travelling out into the world and finding homes with you.

At the moment, Gems in the Post is UK only, and the subscription is £12.50 per month.

Subscribe by the 20th of each month to receive the following month’s letter.

Creating these letters feels like returning to something slower and more meaningful. Like sending a little piece of the studio out into the world.

From live pen doodles to a worldwide collection

If you’ve ever joined one of my live drawing sessions on TikTok, you’ll know how much I love pen doodling.

Those quiet, spontaneous moments of drawing live, letting characters and ideas emerge naturally, have become a really important part of my creative life. There’s something beautifully unpredictable about them. They’re not planned or perfect — they simply appear.

Recently, I’ve begun turning those live pen doodles into a collection of clothing and products, so they can exist beyond the page.

Seeing these simple pen lines — drawn live, shared in real time — become something you can wear or hold has been such a special experience.

I’ve created:

  • T-shirts featuring my doodle designs

  • Dog and cat t-shirts and biodegradable phone cases that can be personalised with your pet’s name

  • And other small pieces inspired by these live drawing moments

It means so much to me that you can now carry these little drawings with you, or create something completely personal to you and your pet.

I’ll also be adding new designs regularly, as new doodles emerge during my live sessions.

The collection is available worldwide, which means these tiny moments of creativity can travel far beyond my studio.

Creating responsibly, with care

It was incredibly important to me to create this collection in a way that aligns with my values.

That’s why I chose to work with Teemill. Their clothing is made using organic cotton and renewable energy, and each item is made to order, rather than mass-produced. This means nothing is created unnecessarily.

Their products are also designed as part of a circular system, where materials can be remade again at the end of their life.

Even the phone cases are biodegradable, which felt like such an important part of creating something responsibly.

Knowing these pieces are created with care — both creatively and environmentally — makes the collection feel even more meaningful.
