Hello, I’m Gem

Art has always been a constant in my life.

For years, I focused on pencil realism, building my skills through detail, patience and precision — learning to really see what was in front of me and recreate it as accurately as possible.

Recently, I’ve felt ready to shift. To move away from perfect lines and explore something more expressive. I’ve started working with oil paint, learning to loosen up, trust instinct and allow more movement and energy into my work.

Alongside this, I share a more playful side through doodling — often drawing live on TikTok — where creativity feels spontaneous, quick and joyful.

This space brings all of that together — the precision I’ve built, the freedom I’m exploring, and the play that keeps it all alive

 I worked as a professional photographer for over 10 years

I photographed hundreds if not thousands of people over the years. Working mainly in portraiture - I also ventured in to the land of wedding and commercial photography too.

I still use my photography skills most days to capture inspiration and ideas for my drawings - but more often than not I’ll used my iPhone to capture these images.
