Hello, I’m Gemma
I have been in love with drawing ever since I picked up a pencil. Drawing and creating is as important to me as breathing!
I normally have some kind of sketchbook close by at all times, unless I’m walking my dog Buddy, swimming or on adventures with my family.
I’m a big daydreamer and love being in a quiet space where I can let ideas flow. Having two children with big imaginations has definitely encouraged my imaginary world.
Inspired by the world around me. You’ll often find me crouching down photographing the tiny patterns in nature or staring up in awe at the magnificent sky.
There is so much beauty if you just look for it.
I worked as a professional photographer for over ten years
I photographed hundreds if not thousands of people over the years. Working mainly in portraiture - I also ventured in to the land of wedding and commercial photography too.
I still use my photography skills most days to capture inspiration and ideas for my drawings - but more often than not I’ll used my iPhone to capture these images.
