MY STORY
After finishing my degree in 2002, I began my creative career as a portrait photographer. Over the next ten years, I had the privilege of photographing hundreds — if not thousands — of people.
I loved capturing people and worked with so many wonderful clients along the way. If you’re reading this and you were one of them, thank you for being part of that chapter of my story!
In 2012, I became a mum and spent the following six years as a full-time mum to my two amazing girls.
Then, in 2018, I found my way back to drawing. I began drawing constantly and wrote and illustrated a children’s book, which is now available in my shop. Soon after, I became fascinated by realism and the challenge of capturing the smallest details — sometimes spending hundreds of hours on a single drawing.
Over the next few years, my original drawings and art prints found homes around the world, and I also created drawing tutorials for an art academy.
But as much as I loved drawing, I could feel myself wanting something different. I had a growing urge to create in a freer, more expressive way — to loosen up, experiment and bring more movement and emotion into my work. And, after so many hours spent sitting over detailed drawings, my back was definitely ready for a change too!
So, in March 2026, I decided it was finally time to paint.
I picked up a paintbrush, chose oils as my medium and, naturally, found myself drawn back to the subject that has fascinated me throughout my creative life: people.
I painted my first portrait — and I was captivated.
Painting has given me a new way to explore the faces, personalities and emotions that have inspired me since my earliest days as a photographer. It feels like a new chapter, but also somehow like everything has come full circle.
